By letter dated 18 March 2015,12 addressed to the Applicant and copied to the Respondent, through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Libya, and to the Embassies of Libya in Dar-es-Salaam, Tanzania and Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, the Registry confirmed that the Respondent had responded neither to the Application on the merits nor to the Interlocutory Application ; and that the Court, at its 36th Ordinary Session held from 9 to 27 March 2015, had instructed it to draw the Appl icant's attention to the relevant provisions of Rule 55 of the Rules with a view to initiating a procedure in default within thirty (30) days of receipt. 33. By letter dated 16 April 2015 , the Applicant info rmed the Cou rt of its intention to initiate proceedings , pursuant to Rule 55 of the Rules , and that an Application to that effect would be f iled within thi rty (30) days. 34. By letter dated 15 May 2015, the Applicant filed at the Court an Application for judgment in default. 35. By letter dated 3 July 2015, and pursuant to Rule 35 (3) of the Rules , the Registry notified the Respondent of the filing of the 11 FEDEX/Arusha indicated that the letter could not be delivered to its addressee because of the events at Tripoli International Airport on that date.
