REQUEST FOR ADVISORY OPINION
BY ADVOCATE MARCEL CECCALDI ON BEHALF OF THE GREAT SOCIALIST
PEOPLE'S LIBYAN ARAB JAMAHJRJYA
Having regard to Article 4 (1) of the Protocol to the African Charter on
Human and Peoples' Rights on the Establishment of an African Court on
Human and Peoples' Rights, as well as to Rule 68 (1) of the Rules of Court;
After deliberations;
makes the following Order:
1. By a letter dated 22 August 2011 and received at the Registry of the
Court on 23 August 2011 , Advocate Marcel Ceccaldi, requested for
an advisory opinion from the Court, on behalf of The Great Socialist
People's Libyan Arab Jamahiriya.
2. At its 22nd Ordinary Session held from 12 to 23 September, 2011 in
Arusha, the Court instructed the Registrar to ask the author of the
Request to show proof that he was acting on behalf of Libya;
