By letter dated 28 June, 2012, the Registrar requested additional information with respect to the Application , in particular, evidence of exhaustion of local remedies in relation to the allegation of police brutality. In the same letter, the Registrar also requested that the said information should be submitted to the Registry of the Court within thirty (30) days from the date of receipt of the notification . 30. By letter dated 16 July 2012, the Applicants submitted what they considered to be evidence of exhaustion of local remedies with respect to the allegation of police brutality. 31 . By letter dated 10 October, 2012, the Registry notified the Respondent of the Application , pursuant to Rule 35(2)(a) of the Rules. In accordance with Rule 35(4 )(a) of the Rules. the Respondent was requested to indicate the names of its representatives within thirty (30) days and pursuant to Rule 37 of the Rules, to respond to the Application within sixty (60) days, from the date of receipt of the notification . 32. By letter dated 10 October, 2012, the Registry informed the Chairperson of the African Union Commission (AUC), pursuant to Rule 35(3) of the Rules, of the receipt of the Application . 33. By letter dated 25 October, 2012 , Mr. Ernest Karata and six others informed the Court that he has learned that a civil suit in his name was before the African Court, as the Application before this Court is said to be connected to Civil Case No. 95/2003.
