Remedies
The finding of a violation constitutes a form of reparation in itself (Lohé Issa Konaté v
Burkina Faso, application 004/2013, judgment on reparations, 3 June 2016, para 66).
The violation of an international obligation that occasions harm warrants an obligation to pay
adequate compensation (Reverend Christopher R. Mtikila v The United Republic of Tanzania,
application 011/2011, ruling on reparations, 13 June 2014, paras 27 & 28).
